General Tour Information
All tours are conducted by our professional, licensed captain. Included as standard: free Wi-Fi on board, chilled water per person, sun-shade canopy, comfortable seating with cushions, and a Bluetooth/USB music system. Safety equipment for all ages, rain ponchos, and 5V USB charging ports are always available.
For a more boutique experience, our boats accommodate a maximum of 10 guests. For larger groups and events, our extended fleet can carry more — tell us your group size and we'll arrange the right combination of boats. Private (exclusive) charter of any boat is also available.
No — none of our boats has a toilet on board. Boats of this class are not permitted to carry one, so this applies to the entire fleet. Our tours are short, and on longer routes the captain can make a brief comfort stop ashore, for example in Perast. We recommend visiting a restroom before boarding.
Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Škrpjela) is a man-made island church near Perast, built in 1630 on a mound of stones and sunken ships. It is one of only two artificial islands on the Adriatic. Island entry is €5 for adults and €2.50 for ages 7–14, and is not included in group tour prices.
Transfer & Getting There
Complimentary pick-up from private jetties (pontoons) along the Bay of Kotor coastline is available exclusively on private tours. Guests joining group tours are welcomed at our main departure point.
Note: direct pick-up from inside the Cruise Ship Terminal is not possible, but our departure point is just a few minutes' walk from the terminal.
All tours depart from the Park Slobode pier in Kotor Old Town, a 2-minute walk from the main city gate (GPS 42.4264, 18.7678).
What to Bring
Swimwear and light summer clothing are sufficient. We recommend bringing a light jacket as the breeze on open water can be cool. Sunscreen is advisable for longer tours.
You may wear swimwear on board throughout the tour. However, when visiting the church and museum on Our Lady of the Rocks island, modest clothing over swimwear (t-shirt and shorts) is required out of respect for the religious site.
For safety we cannot take pregnant guests, or guests with a back problem, on any of our tours, and infants aged 0–2 are not accepted on group tours — our speedboats jump hard and suddenly over the wake of other boats. Life jackets are available in all other sizes. Guests in wheelchairs are welcome if the chair can be folded. Pets are permitted on private tours only.
Swimming & Safety
By Montenegrin law, boats may no longer stop inside the Blue Cave or let guests swim from the boat inside it. Our captain anchors at the closest permitted point just outside the entrance and guests swim into the cave from there. In rough conditions or when the cave is crowded, swimming inside may not be possible — we then swim just outside the entrance, where the water is equally beautiful and safe.
Mamula is private property, so landing on the island is not permitted. We stop nearby so you can admire the fortress up close, and our captain shares the island's fascinating history. The island lies at the mouth of the bay, roughly 45–60 minutes from Kotor by speedboat.
Absolutely. We host cruise guests regularly and guarantee return to port before your ship's departure. See our Kotor cruise shore excursions — boat tours timed to your port window, departing about 5 minutes' walk from the cruise terminal.
Morning departures between 09:00 and 11:00 give the most intense blue glow, because the light refracts through the underwater opening at that angle. The cave is reachable from May to October.
The Blue Cave (Plava Špilja) is roughly 45–60 minutes from Kotor by speedboat, depending on sea conditions.
Guest safety comes first. If sea conditions are unsafe we reschedule or cancel the tour, and weather cancellations are refunded in full — or moved to the next available time, whichever you prefer.
